League recap: Prairie View climbs in state rankings

Prairie View scaled the state rankings by moving to 85 from 113 this week, the biggest jump in 5A East Metro. The Thunderhawks climbed the ranks as a result of beating Boulder 48-14.

Prairie View took down the Panthers 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Brighton's dynamic duo of Tanner Pepin and Nate Morales proved to be unstoppable against Mountain Range, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pepin threw for 265 yards and Morales had 106 yards receiving. Tristin Wells helped Brighton's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 97 yards.

The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Pepin and Morales proved tough for the Mustangs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Bryan Weingarten was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 116 yards on 11 carries as Thornton fell to Mountain Range. Demario Orozco also contributed to the rushing game with 106 yards on the ground.

Pepin put up the best numbers through the air as Pat Sandoval's team fell to Bryan Davey's team.

Morales was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs fell to the Mustangs.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Demitri Montour. The Thornton star has 10 catches for 162 yards.

Todd Riccio's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,656 from 7,617. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 48-14 victory over Boulder last week.
