Baseball Recap: Southwest Covenant Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Southwest Covenant's offense. They came up short against the Amber-Pocasset Panthers on Saturday, falling 8-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since April 11th.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwest Covenant and nudges their season record down to 16-9. As for Amber-Pocasset, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Southwest Covenant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amber-Pocasset, they will face off against Caddo at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.3, the Bruins 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
