Weeki Wachee skates past Citrus with ease

Recap: Weeki Wachee Hornets vs. Citrus Hurricanes
Make it nine blowout wins for the Weeki Wachee Hornets this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Citrus 52-13 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Weeki Wachee as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Weeki Wachee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marlee Schumacher, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Schumacher hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joelys Rodriguez, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Weeki Wachee's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Citrus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Central the next time they take the court. Weeki Wachee will host Central at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Citrus will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
