San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy had won three straight on the road, but on Saturday they bumped up to 16-6 to make it four. They blew past the Christoval Cougars 3-0. The Eagles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0).

Ava Pena paced San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Pena got some help from Mia Lopez and her 27 assists. Lopez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aubriella Brefo, racking up two apiece.

As for Christoval, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since October 26, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Christoval saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jordyn Bruns had 13 digs and ten assists.

San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Merkel on the 9th. As for Christoval, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Veribest on the 9th.
