Volleyball Recap: Lathrop's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Lathrop had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came out on top against the St. Mary's Rams by a score of 2-0.

Lathrop's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriel Faalii, who had nine kills and three digs. Faalii is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mario Luna, who had 22 assists.

Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for St. Mary's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Lathrop wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against St. Joseph Notre Dame on the 29th. As for St. Mary's, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Kennedy on the 29th.
