Soccer Game Preview: Randolph-Henry vs. Lunenburg Central

The Randolph-Henry Statesmen will venture away from home to challenge the Lunenburg Central Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph-Henry will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Randolph-Henry's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Buckingham as they made off with an 8-0 win. It was an even better day for Angel Perez as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Lunenburg Central's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against Prince Edward County, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Lunenburg Central's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Randolph-Henry pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lunenburg Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1.

Randolph-Henry skirted past Lunenburg Central 2-1 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Statesmen since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
