Basketball Recap: Dartmouth Takes a Loss

Dartmouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 74-55 fall against the Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Raiders are ranked 32nd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Somerset Berkley Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Finnian Bjork, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Bjork has posted since back in February of 2024. Brendan Mcdonald was another key player, putting up ten points along with five assists and five boards.

Dartmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dartmouth will welcome Durfee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greater New Bedford RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
