Cherryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Shelby Golden Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Shelby this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in September.

Cherryville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Shelby, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8-3.

Cherryville didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Stuart W. Cramer on the 15th. As for Shelby, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Bessemer City on the 15th.
