Football Recap: Dedham Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Dedham fell victim to Bellingham and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Blackhawks. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

It was another big night for Mason Alger, who rushed for 176 yards and four scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry for Bellingham. Those 176 rushing yards gave Alger a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Tyler Hayward, who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Dedham and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Bellingham, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Dedham and Ashland will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on October 10. The contest will give the Marauders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Bellingham, they will be playing at home against Millis at 6:00 p.m. on October 10.
