Softball Recap: El Camino Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

El Camino's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in April, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

Kailey Dain was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Cambria Lyon was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs.

El Camino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are 12-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

El Camino is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for San Dieguito Academy, their record now sits at 15-6-1.

Coming up, El Camino will square off against Oceanside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Dieguito Academy, they will be playing at home against Canyon Crest Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
