Volleyball Recap: Grain Valley Eagles vs. Platte County Pirates
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Grain Valley and Platte County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.
The win didn't come easy: Platte County scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20.
Kyleigh Casey paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Casey got some help from Bromlee Cook and her 24 assists. Annabelle Stewart controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
