A Season-Best Effort from Brayden Brown Leads Ephrata over Lebanon

On Friday, Ephrata got the W thanks in part to Brayden Brown playing the best football he has all season. Brown rushed for 77 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.

Brown must have Lebanon's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Brown saw the Cedars), he rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.

Sawyer Esbenshade Dazzles in Conestoga Valley Win

Sawyer Esbenshade's big game helped extend Conestoga Valley's winning streak to nine on Friday. Nobody could stop Esbenshade as he threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Conestoga Valley pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Esbenshade and Conestoga Valley will square off against Muhlenberg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jayden Zandier's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Exeter Township over Conestoga Valley

While Exeter Township might've come up empty on Friday, Jayden Zandier wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Zandier as he rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended a pass.

Conestoga Valley had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Zandier it was a similar story. Zandier rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Buckskins duked it out back in October of 2023.

Caleb Grant Makes It Two for Ephrata

The second Ephrata player making an appearance here is Caleb Grant, and for good reason. He threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.

On the season, Grant has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 112.4 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 5.11 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 58.78 rushing yards.
