Los Banos got themselves on the board against Golden Valley on Thursday, but Golden Valley never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cougars 31-0. Considering the Tigers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Los Banos' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaylee Fuentes led the charge by throwing for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 35 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns Fuentes has posted over her last eight contests. Siena Freitas was Fuentes' top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one rushing score.

Los Banos' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for Golden Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Los Banos and Golden Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Tigers will face off against El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (425 vs. 64).
