Baseball Recap: Wekiva Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wekiva can now relate to. They lost 9-0 to the South Lake Eagles on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Wekiva saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darelle Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Wekiva's record is now 6-18. As for South Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Wekiva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Lake, they will take on Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
