Football Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

St. Paul's Episcopal had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 6-4 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They secured a 28-24 W over the Spanish Fort Toros. This was payback for the Saints, who suffered a 27-13 defeat the last time these two teams met.

St. Paul's Episcopal found their leader in sophomore Hayden Fincher, who threw for 231 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 56 yards on only six carries. Anthony Frasier did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.

As for Spanish Fort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.8 points over those games.

Spanish Fort's loss came despite strong showings from Justin 'JuJu' Bonner and Jaylyn 'JJ' Thibodeaux. Bonner rushed for 85 yards and one TD on only nine carries, while Thibodeaux threw for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As of now, neither St. Paul's Episcopal nor the Toros have any future games scheduled.
