League recap: Bishop Stang stuns Coyle-Cassidy in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Coyle-Cassidy, who took down 226th ranked Coyle-Cassidy, 18-0.

Somerset extended the longest winning streak in Eastern this week by beating Durfee, 34-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Martha's Vineyard Regional's dynamic duo of Mike Mussell and Joe Turney proved tough for Bishop Feehan to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Mussell threw for 58 yards and one touchdown and Turney had 69 yards receiving. Jahmari Thomas helped Martha's Vineyard Regional's passing attack out by catching five balls for 38 yards.

Joshua Cobb was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 86 yards as the Warriors lost to the Shamrocks. Dylan Greene also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.

Martha's Vineyard Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vineyarders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alec Tattersall has thrown for 682 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Brandon Watkins has 15 catches for 221 yards. Watkins leads the league in rushing with 701 yards.

A big matchup in Eastern this week will be when Coyle-Cassidy takes on Somerset. At the moment, Tom Pileski's team is in fourth, while Nick Freitas' team is in first.

Bishop Stang made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,185 from 11,915.
