Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-5 to the UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES.

Polytechnic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mathew Ruiz, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That run was Ruiz's first of the season. Another was Gilberto Espinoza, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for UME Preparatory Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Polytechnic will square off against Santo at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for UME Preparatory Academy, they will face off against Wyatt at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
