St. Johns Country Day piles up the points against Duval Charter

Make it 13 blowout wins for the St. Johns Country Day Spartans this season. They blew past Duval Charter 90-19 at home. St. Johns Country Day's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mary Kate Kent was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-14 from deep and dropping a double-double on 46 points and 16 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of St. Johns Country Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Mejias, who scored 16 points along with four steals.

The victory was the fifth in a row for St. Johns Country Day, bringing their record for this year to 16-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Duval Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.

St. Johns Country Day will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fletcher at 6:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jasmine Cross and Kent. Duval Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
