Football Recap: Harvest Covenant Piles Up the Points Against Northern Virginia Homeschool

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Maryland Christian C, Harvest Covenant was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They breezed past the Northern Virginia HomeSchool Centurions to the tune of 60-0. The game marked the Lions' most dominant win of the season.

Sammy Vaughn had an outrageously good game as he threw for 240 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. His passing game has become a key predictor of Harvest Covenant's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-5 otherwise. Soren Osifade was in the mix as well, providing the Lions with two scores.

Harvest Covenant didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Teagan Kordon and Asher Kordon. Harvest Covenant received some extra help from Osifade, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Harvest Covenant's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

As of now, neither Harvest Covenant nor the Centurions have any future games scheduled.
