Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Westville

It's playoff time, and Westville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints on Thursday. Ten seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Lani Gondzur, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Daylin Zaayer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Westville, bringing their record up to 28-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-13.

As of now, neither Westville nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
