Basketball Game Preview: West Jefferson Panthers vs. North Fremont Huskies

West Jefferson hasn't had much luck against North Fremont recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The West Jefferson Panthers will take on the North Fremont Huskies at 7:30 p.m. West Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully North Fremont likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, West Jefferson humbled Salmon with a 66-36 victory.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Canine Competition, North Fremont didn't have enough. They fell just short of Ririe by a score of 54-52 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Huskies have suffered since December 20, 2024.

West Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for North Fremont, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Things could have been worse for West Jefferson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-54 loss to North Fremont in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can West Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
