Softball Recap: Living Word Lutheran Comes Up Short

Living Word Lutheran lost against Luther Prep back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Timberwolves came up short against the Phoenix, falling 9-1. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Living Word Lutheran saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Bloomier, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Living Word Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Luther Prep, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, Living Word Lutheran will host Waukesha South at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves are facing the Blackshirts at the right time seeing as the Blackshirts are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Luther Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Catholic Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hilltoppers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
