The Shawnee Braves will venture away from home to  face off against the Archbishop Alter Knights  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
Shawnee fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Graham Local  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of  4-3. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
 Joey Ross put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Ross wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Kaiden Roeder, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Alter earned  a  4-1 win over Wilmington  on Tuesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Knights.
 Owen Tishaus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has become a key player for Archbishop Alter: the team is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 5-14 otherwise.
 At the plate,  Noah Reed was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  double,  and one  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Carrson Franklin also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Archbishop Alter was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .385. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Shawnee's record is now 5-13. As for Archbishop Alter, their record now sits at 8-15.
