After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Metro Tech, Carl Hayden Community was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Fairfax Stampede with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Carl Hayden Community's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-7.

Among those leading the charge was Adrian Pita Guaydacan, who had eight digs and one assist.

Carl Hayden Community was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfax only served three aces.

Carl Hayden Community's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Fairfax, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Coming up, Carl Hayden Community will welcome Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfax, they will head out to take on Metro Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
