 The Whitmer Panthers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Ross Little Giants at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Whitmer is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
 Whitmer's hitters might be in the hot seat  on Friday considering what happened against St. Francis de Sales  on Thursday. They suffered a  rough 13-0 defeat at the hands of the Knights.
 Meanwhile, Ross was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 8-1 walloping at the hands of Bowling Green.
 Ross saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cameron Joseph, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Ross  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with eight  strikeouts. This was only their ninth loss (out of ten games) when  they post five or more  strikeouts.
 Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Ross, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
 Whitmer couldn't quite finish off Ross in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023 and fell  4-2. Thankfully for Whitmer,  Alejandro Melchor (who   struck out six batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   seven  hits) won't be suiting up this time.
