Lockport extended their postseason success on Friday against Lincoln-Way Central. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Knights a 2-0 shutout. The Porters' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four contests.

Not much got past Kelcie McGraw, who gave up just six hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Lincoln-Way Central off the board. McGraw has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lockport let Rheanna Slavicek and Taylor Lane run wild. Slavicek went 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Lane got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

Lockport is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Lincoln-Way Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 23 games and leaves them with a 34-2 record.

Coming up, Lockport will challenge Bradley-Bourbonnais at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Boilermakers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Porters surely won't give up without a fight. Lincoln-Way Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
