Basketball Game Preview: Springs Valley Blackhawks vs. Edgewood Mustangs

The Springs Valley Blackhawks will head out to challenge the Edgewood Mustangs at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Edgewood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Springs Valley, who comes in off a win.

Springs Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 64-53 win over Martinsville on Friday.

Meanwhile, Edgewood came up short against Orleans on Friday and fell 38-28. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Springs Valley will need focus on slowing down Macey Crider, one of several Edgewood players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points and ten rebounds. Edgewood is 8-1 when Crider posts eight or more rebounds, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Yearby, who had eight points.

The victory got Springs Valley back to even at 6-6. As for Edgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
