Soccer Game Preview: Center vs. Oakmont

The Center Cougars will square off against the Oakmont Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Center is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Center's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Marysville by a score of 2-0. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Indians are ranked 932nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gadiel Mondragon and Ehsanullah Dadwar scored both of Center's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Oakmont was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. Neither they nor Lincoln could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

The win made it two in a row for Center and bumps their season record up to 8-2-2. Oakmont's draw makes their record 4-2-4 this season.
