Wonewoc-Center took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Cashton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Wonewoc-Center was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-99), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 26-24, 14-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10.

Avery Miller paced Wonewoc-Center's offense, picking up 11 kills. Miller got some help from Lily Riffey and her 14 assists. Heidi Baker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wonewoc-Center now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cashton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Wonewoc-Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Wisconsin Heights on the 6th. After both having extra time off, Cashton and Bangor will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
