Baseball Game Preview: Delhi Hawks vs. Le Grand Bulldogs

Delhi is 0-10 against Le Grand since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Delhi Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Le Grand Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. This will be Delhi's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Thursday, Delhi came up short against Johansen and fell 8-4.

Edgar Gonzalez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Le Grand). They walked away with an 11-7 win over Orestimba on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Jose Manzo was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Benavidez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Le Grand always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Le Grand back to even at 2-2. As for Delhi, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Delhi came up short against Le Grand when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 10-5. Can Delhi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
