Softball Recap: Campbell County Comes Up Short

The Campbell County Cougars came up short against the Lemont Lemont HS on Thursday, falling 18-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Campbell County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Destiny Rutherford, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Campbell County's record now sits at 4-11. As for Lemont, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Campbell County will host Knoxville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lemont, they will venture away from home to face off against Clinton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lemont HS 3.2, the Dragons 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
