Basketball Recap: Madison East Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last five games, Madison East finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of Albany/Monticello by a score of 2-0. While losing is never fun, the Purgolders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Albany/Monticello are ranked 30th).

Madison East has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Albany/Monticello, their win bumped their record up to 21-1.

Coming up, Madison East will be playing at home against Sun Prairie West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Albany/Monticello will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Juda at 7:15 p.m. on February 20th.
