 After a string of five wins, Columbia City's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They took  a  16-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northfield Norsemen. Columbia City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northfield apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  on Saturday.
 Columbia City got a good showing from  Kash Uher, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Grayson Bradberry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brady Schroeder, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 On Northfield's side,  Brandon Mckillip was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with three  runs, three  doubles,  and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jaden Baer, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Columbia City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Northfield, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia City will take on DeKalb at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. DeKalb is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1  runs per game  this season. As for Northfield, they will be playing at home against North Miami at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. North Miami is coming into the  game with three straight  wins on the road,  so Northfield will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
