Softball Recap: Fulton Comes Up Short

If Fulton was riding high fresh off their 13-2 takedown of Vestaburg on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Lake Fenton Blue Devils on Saturday, falling 22-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered since April 24th.

Kerrigan Ryan made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Dayten Lambert, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Lake Fenton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Fulton will challenge Pewamo-Westphalia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Fenton, they will head out to square off against Hart at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
