Recap: Pine View Panthers vs. Canyon View Falcons
The Pine View Panthers kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Canyon View by a score of 61-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Pine View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nash Schroeder. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Condie, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Canyon View, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th. Richfield is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Canyon View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cedar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday.
