Caleb Love from Christian Brothers (St. Louis) is the 2019-20 Suddenlink Missouri Player of the Year after an impressive senior campaign that saw the 6-foot-3 guard average 26.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals per outing.
Love guided the Cadets to the MSHSAA Class 5 state semifinals before the Missouri State High School Activities Association announced Monday the remained of the state tournament would be canceled.
The future North Carolina Tar Heel produced at a high level throughout the season, scoring 30 or more points in nine games. His most impressive performance came against East St. Louis (Ill.), tallying a season-high in both points and rebounds with 42 and 11.
Love is regarded as the No. 18 prospect in the Class of 2020 according to 247sports.
