Preview: Clinton School vs. Bard
Clinton School will head out on the road to face off against Bard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Clinton School came up short against Adams Street Academy and fell 51-40.
Despite the defeat, Clinton School got a solid performance out of Jaya Kelly, who scored 20 points. Kelly continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Tokarczyk, who scored four points along with 17 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bard also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to St. Mary by a score of 34-26. Bard has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Clinton School's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Bard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Clinton School beat Bard 53-44 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton School since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
