Volleyball Recap: Surry County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sussex Central on Tuesday, Surry County came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost eight in a row.

Surry County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, Surry County will venture away from home to face off against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech, they will welcome Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
