Brevard is 7-1-1 against R-S Central since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Blue Devils will square off against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. Brevard will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Brevard's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over East Rutherford. The result was nothing new for Brevard, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit East Rutherford with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lila Laughridge (2), Nora Felty (2), Kennedy Reeves, and Macy Rogers.

Meanwhile, R-S Central managed to keep up with Hendersonville until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Bearcats, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, R-S Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Hendersonville are ranked 52nd).

Brevard's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six games. As for R-S Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.

Brevard skirted past R-S Central 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
