Softball Recap: Kent County Comes Up Short

Kent County came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Queen Anne's County Lions, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kent County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Queen Anne's County, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kent County is set to take on their familiar foe North Caroline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Queen Anne's County will face off against rival Colonel Richardson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.9, the Colonels 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
