Mark Morris has gone 9-1 against Hudson's Bay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Monarchs will head out to square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mark Morris has 22 straight victories, Hudson's Bay has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Mark Morris will bounce into Monday's game after beating Rochester, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Monarchs put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 9-0 win last Friday. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Makenzie Henthorn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mikaila Warfield, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Shyanne Sellers was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mark Morris kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Hudson's Bay came up short against Washougal on Friday, falling 31-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Panthers since March 16, 2017.
Mark Morris pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hudson's Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything went Mark Morris' way against Hudson's Bay in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Mark Morris made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
