Basketball Game Preview: Grace Academy Knights vs. Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers

Grace Academy and Cumberland Valley Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Grace Academy Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Grace Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Berkeley Springs.

Defeat or not, Grace Academy got some senior leadership from Carson Feeser and Hudson Walls. Feeser posted 20 points and five assists, while Walls earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Cumberland Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Heritage Academy and fell 80-38. One positive for the Blazers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Grace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Grace Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Cumberland Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in January, winning 56-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
