Neosho typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Nixa proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Wildcats. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Nixa is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Neosho, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-7.

Nixa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
