Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Wins Going Away Against Waukesha South

Pewaukee won the last time they faced Waukesha South and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates blew past the Blackshirts 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pewaukee took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-4, 25-14.

Pewaukee can attribute much of their success to Talia Piotrowski, who had seven aces and four digs. Those seven aces gave Piotrowski a new career-high. Lila Quinones also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Pewaukee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Pewaukee's record now sits at 21-11. As for Waukesha South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

Pewaukee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waukesha South, they will take on Nicolet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
