Baseball Recap: Campbell County Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Campbell County's offense. They came up short against the Powell Panthers on Monday, falling 10-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Powell, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbell County will head out to face off against Apostolic Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flames have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.47 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Powell, they will head out on the road to challenge Karns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
