Baseball Recap: Baptist Hill Takes a Loss

Baptist Hill blew North Charleston out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday North Charleston got their revenge. The Bobcats fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 14-12. Even if the Bobcats couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Baptist Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's still a better percentage than their 1-6-1 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. North Charleston's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9.

Baptist Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Charleston, they will take on Palmetto Scholars Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
