Basketball Recap: West Pioneers vs. Pittsburg Dragons
West fought the good fight in their overtime match against Pittsburg on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pittsburg Dragons. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Maholmes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Maholmes a new career-high in assists (four).
