Recap: Hueneme Vikings vs. Castaic Coyotes
The Hueneme Vikings suffered their biggest defeat since November 14, 2023 on Monday. They took a serious blow against Castaic, falling 81-31. Hueneme was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.
Sebastian Juarez and Ignatio Saavedra certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Juarez scored 13 points, while Saavedra scored six points.
Hueneme has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Castaic, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
Hueneme's road trip will continue as they head out to face Malibu at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Castaic, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Golden Valley at 6:30 p.m.
