Softball Recap: Mendon Unity Comes Up Short

Mendon Unity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Camp Point Central Panthers. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mendon Unity saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Spilker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Mendon Unity's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Camp Point Central has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mendon Unity will head out to take on Pittsfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Camp Point Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Astoria/VIT at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
