Recap: MAST Academy Makos vs. Key West Conchs
After flying high against Archimedean last Thursday, the MAST Academy Makos came back down to earth. MAST Academy was beaten by Key West 71-42 on Thursday. MAST Academy was down 54-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Leading Key West to victory were Kameron Roberts and James Osborne. Roberts scored 19 points, while Osborne scored 19 points. Osborne hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. DeMarcus Deroche was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
MAST Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Key West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MAST Academy will take on Goleman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Key West will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Palmer Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Palmer Trinity knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Key West likes a good challenge.
